The day before spring break

So today was the last day of school for the students before spring break begins (teacher have a professional development day tomorrow), and let's just say I think the teachers are more ready for spring break than the kids because the kids drove the teachers CRAZY today! Here are some stories:

So a student (not in the classroom I work in) was caught showing condoms to other students in the classroom, and she said that her and her friends wanted to blow them up in the bathroom. All I have to say is wow....

My little buddy WOULD NOT listen to me today...it took us a long time to get through the work that we needed to. So by the end of the day when my little buddy was reading with his 4th grade reading buddy he runs up and says "My reading buddy isn't reading to me!" So I go ask his reading buddy why he isn't reading and he says my little buddy "won't give me the book!" So my little buddy goes to get a different book and starts goofing around with some other kids in the classroom. So I FINALLY get him to go back to his reading buddy and as he's walking back, I say (in a COMPLETELY joking and sarcastic manner), "You know you're driving me crazy, right?" To which he replies, "YUP!!" What a stinker...

As the class was walking out to go home, I told them to have a good spring break. I got several different responses "Miss LeTourneau, have a WONDERFUL spring break...have an AMAZING spring break...have an EXCELLENT spring break!" I love the kids I work with :)

Now my kiddos are on spring break, so there won't be any updates until we go back!
